The Committee on Standards, Equity, Health and Safety at Work (CNESST) offers several tools to support workplaces in the context of COVID-19.
The measures proposed in its tools are part of a process of prioritizing means of prevention. The progress of the vaccination coverage of the population and the improvement of the epidemiological situation linked to COVID-19 allow the CNESST to undertake a gradual adjustment of preventive measures in the workplaces.
Depending on how the situation develops, the CNESST may quickly review the proposed adjustments. These adjustments do not take precedence over the laws and regulations in force in occupational health and safety (for example: wearing respiratory protection during exposure to asbestos or silica, wearing eye protection during welding, etc.).
Modification of certain preventive measures This document modifies certain measures presented in the Guide to health standards in the workplace - COVID-19 and in the additional tools for sectors. These recommendations are based on those produced by the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec and the Public Health Network in Occupational Health (RSPSAT).
At all times, workplaces with an outbreak of COVID-19 are required to comply with the measures recommended by the public health departments.
These adjustments do not apply, in particular, to care and living environments (residences for the elderly, prisons, youth centers, etc.) in the presence of people carrying COVID-19, presenting compatible symptoms. those with COVID-19 or who have had contact with a confirmed case. For more information, see the decision support tool.
The quality masks are:
- medical masks conforming to ASTM F2100 or EN 14683 type IIR standards;
- masks certified by the Bureau de normalization du Québec (BNQ) under the certificate 1922-900;
- any respirator (respirator) equipped with a particulate filter, as defined in the standard Choice, use and maintenance of respiratory protection devices (CSA Z94.4-18), such as respirators of the N95 or P100 type.
Wearing a quality mask continuously is not mandatory, but recommended.
The worker must respect physical distancing OR be protected by a physical barrier OR wear a quality mask.
For example: car, truck, bus, plane, elevator.
If a physical barrier is installed or if a quality mask is worn, there is no need to reduce the occupancy rate.
To find out the applicable rules, consult the CNESST COVID-19 kit and the INSPQ website
Dear clients,
We are concerned about the situation surrounding the spread of COVID-19 and your health and that of our employees is our top priority. In order to protect you and our employees, we have implemented stricter hygiene measures that we ask everyone to follow.
In addition to the basic hygiene rules recommended by Public Health (frequent hand washing, coughing in your elbow, etc.) here are the measures implemented in our concession:
- All surfaces frequently touched by customers and employees are disinfected several times a day. (Door handles, desks, chairs, toilets, taps, table, etc.)
- The interiors of all our courtesy vehicles, road test vehicles and vehicles on display in our showrooms are disinfected after each use.
- We ask our employees to respect the 2m rule with their colleague and with customers and to avoid handshakes. In addition, we recommend that they avoid group meetings and social activities and if they have a cough or fever, they should stay home.
- Our sales team will be divided into 2 groups according to a specific schedule in order to minimize the number of people present at the same time in the showroom. However, 100% of our team will be available by email, phone, and even to bring a vehicle to your home.
- The time required for the delivery of a new vehicle will be reduced in order to avoid periods of "customer / employee" proximity as much as possible. However, we offer you a “Facetime” delivery if you wish and our employees are available at all times to answer your questions.
- For the same reasons as in 5), test drives will be shorter than usual and our employees will be seated in the back seats.
- We have suspended all training outside our premises and our employees, who are returning from travel, are in quarantine at home for at least 14 days.
- All conferences, activities or vehicle launches are suspended at this time.
Rest assured that we remain attentive to the recommendations of the various authorities and adjust our actions accordingly. If, however, the closure of our dealership becomes necessary, our dedicated team will remain available remotely to answer your questions. We will keep you posted on any changes that may occur in the coming days on social media and on our website.

We are concerned about the situation surrounding the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease and your health and that of our customers is our top priority. In order to protect you and the customers who visit us, we have implemented stricter hygiene measures which we ask everyone to observe.
In addition to the basic hygiene rules recommended by Public Health (frequent hand washing, coughing in your elbow, etc.) here are the additional measures implemented in our concession:
- All surfaces frequently touched by customers and employees will be disinfected several times a day. (Door handles, desks, chairs, toilets, taps, table, etc.)
- Dinner hours will be changed to avoid too many people in the same place at the same time.
- The possibility of teleworking will be offered to employees with fragile health and / or to those who occupy a position which allows it. The interior of all our courtesy vehicles, road test vehicles and vehicles on display in our showrooms will be disinfected after each use.
- Representatives must use the products available to them to disinfect vehicles after a test drive. (steering wheel, window button, door handles, gearshift knob, seat button, etc.)
- We ask all employees to respect the 1m distance instruction with their colleague and with customers and to avoid handshakes. In addition, we recommend that you avoid all group meetings or social activities and if you have a cough or fever you should stay at home.
- Our sales team will be divided into 2 groups according to a specific schedule in order to minimize the number of people present at the same time in the showroom. However, 100% of our team will be available by email, phone, and even to go and present a vehicle at the customer's residence if they wish.
- We ask all managers to stay in their office as much as possible, limit their travel around the company, and diligently follow the above guidelines if they need to meet with clients.
- The time required for the delivery of a new vehicle will be reduced in order to avoid periods of "customer / employee" proximity as much as possible. However, we will offer "Facetime" delivery if the customer so desires and our employees must remain available at all times to answer customer questions.
- For the same reasons as in 5), test drives will be shorter than usual and our employees will have to sit in the back seat of the vehicle.
- We are suspending all training outside our premises.
- All employees returning from travel outside of Canada are required to adhere to a 14-day home quarantine before returning to work.
- All conferences, activities or vehicle launches are suspended for the time being.
Rest assured that we are listening to the recommendations of the various authorities and will adjust our actions accordingly in the days and weeks to come. Should we ever close the business, all communications will be emailed to you. It is therefore essential that the accounting department have a valid email address on hand to reach you. The management thanks you for your collaboration
Please note that the after-sales service department is open in accordance with public health recommendations. Despite everything, the sales department remains active online or by phone.
You can therefore plan your next purchase remotely.
The showroom must unfortunately be closed to the public during this new period of confinement. Despite it being freshly fitted out, impressive and state of the art, we are forced to wait for the return to normal for you to discover it.
Following the entry into force of the compulsory face covering in closed public places, various information has been brought to our attention concerning the entrance halls and reception areas following police checks.
We therefore validated the information to be transmitted with the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ).
First, remember that under the decree, workers are exempt from wearing a face covering subject to compliance with the guides put in place by the Commission des normes de l'énergie, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail. (CNESST) and INSPQ.
However, entrance halls and reception areas are treated differently since:
- Anyone, whether a citizen or a worker, who finds himself in the entrance hall or in a reception area must wear a face covering;
- A worker who is sitting behind a physical barrier (plexiglass) in the entrance hall or reception area can remove his face covering;
- This same worker, if he has to leave his protected space while remaining in the reception area, must wear a face cover;
- If the receptionist is traveling or accompanying a client and the distance of 2 meters CANNOT be respected, he must wear a face cover;
- If the receptionist is traveling or accompanying a client and the distance of 2 meters CAN be respected, it is possible to remove his face cover.
For example, a worker sitting at his desk in your dealer's lobby can remove his face covering, provided physical barriers such as plexiglass are properly installed. If this worker leaves his protected space, he will be required to wear a face covering if he remains in the entrance hall or if he has to accompany a person without being able to respect the 2-meter distance.
Some dealerships are designed so that there is a reception area in the service department where technical advisers greet customers. The same reasoning applies if the counselor remains seated behind a physical barrier, then they can remove their face covering. On the other hand, if he has to leave the protected space, he will have to wear a face covering if he remains in the reception area or if he accompanies a client without being able to respect the 2 meters distance.
It should be remembered that despite the exceptions provided, an employer may require its staff that a face covering be worn at all times, subject to special measures. Such a policy is entirely justifiable, and even recommended by the CCAQ in the current context, especially for reception areas where the public is mainly admitted.

Cited as a mantra by the Director of Public Health of Canada and the Federal Minister of Health, refers to an epidemiological chart that illustrates the daily number of new cases of the virus over time.
Experts say this graph shows the importance of slowing the spread of the virus first, so that the infection rate does not exceed the capacity of health systems.
The graph shows two curves, in the shape of a bell, illustrating two possible scenarios for the evolution of the epidemic. The first curve shows a sudden spike in cases, which will for some time exceed the limited capacity of the health system.
In the other scenario, steps are taken to manage the number of active cases in a given period. This curve, which is flatter and stretched over a longer period of time, does not, however, exceed the threshold for overloading the health system. This slowed down the "dynamics of the epidemic": this is what public health officials are currently dreaming of.

Isolating yourself means staying home when you have coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and avoiding contact with other people to prevent the disease from spreading to others in your household and community.
If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, you should take the following steps.
Limit contact with other people
- Do not leave your home unless absolutely necessary, for example to seek medical care.
- Do not go to school, work, other public places, or use public transport (such as buses and taxis).
- Arrange for your groceries and supplies to be left at your doorstep to limit contact.
- Stay in a separate bedroom and don't use the same bathroom as other family members, if possible.
- If you must be in contact with another person, keep a distance of at least two (2) meters between you and them. Keep interactions brief and wear a mask.
- Avoid contact with people with chronic illnesses, people with weakened immune systems, and the elderly.
- Avoid contact with pets if you live with other people who may also touch them.
Keep your hands clean
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and dry them with disposable paper towels or reusable dry towels, which you replace when they get wet.
- You can also remove the dirt with a wet wipe, then use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Cough or sneeze into the fold of your arm or into a tissue.
Avoid contaminating common objects and surfaces
- At least once a day, clean and disinfect surfaces you touch often, such as toilets, bedside tables, doorknobs, telephones, and TV remotes.
- Do not share personal items with other people, such as toothbrushes, towels, bedding, utensils, or electronics.
- Use regular household disinfectants or diluted bleach (1 part bleach and 9 parts water) to disinfect objects and surfaces.
- Place contaminated items that cannot be cleaned in a plastic-lined container, seal the container tightly, and dispose of it with other household waste.
- Close the toilet lid before flushing the toilet.
Take care of yourself
- Monitor your symptoms for progress as directed by your health care provider or public health authority.
- If your symptoms worsen, contact your healthcare provider or public health authority immediately and follow their instructions.
- Get rest, eat a balanced diet, and connect with others through communication devices.
Supplies to have at home during isolation
- Surgical / operating masks (do not reuse)
- Eye protection
- Disposable gloves (do not reuse)
- Disposable paper napkins
- Tissues
- Waste bin with plastic liner
- Thermometer
- Over-the-counter medicines to reduce fever (eg, ibuprofen or acetaminophen)
- Running water
- Hand soap
- Alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol
- Dish soap
- Regular laundry soap
- Ordinary household cleaning products
- Bleach (5% sodium hypochlorite) and separate container for dilution (1 part bleach and 9 parts water)
