Sheila Musgrove is the founder of Calgary-based award-winning recruitment firm, TAG Recruitment, a generalist staffing & recruitment firm. She’s received numerous awards including the Alberta Venture ranking of Alberta’s fastest growing companies – TAG has appeared 6 times on the list. Profit and Chatelaine rank Canada’s Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs – she’s appeared on the list 4 times. Sheila was recognized by Red Deer College as their Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. She received the “Global Influencer” award from the Universal Women’s Network for the global reach of “Hired!”
Her first book, “Hired! How to Get The Zippy Gig. Insider Secrets from A Top Recruiter.” hit the Amazon Best-Seller lists in both Canada & USA within the first 24 hours of being released. It stayed a top-ranked resume book in Canada for over 6 years! She just released a 2nd edition of “Hired!” in the spring of 2022. It hit #1 in the resume category in just over 3 hours of being released!
Her second book, “Unexpected Mentors. Weird & Creative Ideas To Boost Your Career.”, was published in 2019.
Sheila’s known for her high-energy, content rich keynotes, based on her books. She’s presented to post-secondary students & alumni and business audiences throughout Canada & the USA. She’s also trained career educators on her “Hired!” methodology in 4 countries!
At the on-set of the pandemic, she felt the need to help the multitude of job seekers who were desperately searching for work during that difficult time. She offered her keynote webinars for free, delivering the “Hired!” series to well over 1000 job seekers, HR professionals, Industry leaders and career educators who attended from Canada, USA, Germany, France and the Caribbean.
Sheila’s regularly interviewed as a resume and job-search expert on a variety of Canadian national media including CTV, Global, CBC & Breakfast Television.
