It has been just about a month since we hosted our last Track Day of the season and, naturally, we’re already looking forward to the start of next season!
There are still several months to go though until we’re back at the track - so for now, we’ll just reminisce on the beautiful day at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park that closed out the season.
As usual, it was an early and busy morning with set up at 7 am and participants gradually arriving from 8 am to the start at 9 am. This Track Day was unique from the others as we invited both beginner and advanced drivers to attend. The Beginner group started with a classroom session, while the Advanced group warmed up on a dynamics course. New to the Advanced Track Day this year was a Throttle-Induced Oversteer course. Here, participants were able to try their hand at finding the perfect balance between control and power.
After lunch, it was all about track time for both groups. By the end of the day, there were smiles all around but the excitement and adrenaline had clearly taken over. It was time to head home. With an announcement of lap times and certificates to remember the day by, Track Day drew to a close.
