Porsche Centre Downtown Toronto invited all Taycan depositors to an exclusive launch event on February 27, 2020 inside our newly renovated showroom. Together with our invited guests, our dealer principal, president and CEO of Porsche Centre Downtown Toronto & DFC Auto Group, Ms. Helen Ching-Kircher, along with Dr. Peter A. Kircher unveiled and presented the all-new, all-electric 2020 Porsche Taycan.
The evening was filled with good eats, electrifying light shows and attractive door prizes. Attendees had the chance to check out both the range-topping Taycan Turbo S model and Taycan Turbo model featured, and had exclusive photo opportunities at the event.
Porsche has a long history of electrified cars. In fact, company founder Ferdinand Porsche designed and built the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton P1 electric vehicle in 1898. This was powered by an octagonal electric motor, which was instrumental in building the world’s first hybrid vehicle in 1900, the Porsche Semper Vivus (Latin for “always alive”) We also have a long track record producing hybrids in modern times, from the Cayenne S E-Hybrid to the 918 Spyder supercar.
