Toronto, Ontario, June 13 2016 - This past weekend, the Downtown Porsche/DFC Motorsport team was excited to be in Montreal at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for rounds 3 and 4 of the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama.
During the weekend, the Downtown Porsche/DFC Motorsports team once again took 2 podium finishes to add to their already impressive inaugural season, where it has podiumed in every race so far.
With an unusually cold track surface, including periods of rain, the track proved to be very tricky for the large group of drivers as the Platinum and Gold class cars jockeyed for position all the while aware that an “off” would make regaining position almost impossible.
A very impressive drive by Downtown Porsche/DFC Motorsports Bruno Chapinotti in the Number 03 car, was highlighted when he was taken off track by a Platinum class car, then managed to regain position and secure a second place finish only .154 seconds behind a top place podium.
“I just pushed hard to take over and there was a lot of action out there. But you can’t just push hard, you’ve also got to be smart and overtake at the right time, the right moment. I had a great time out there!” said Chapinotti after the race. Source: HARGROVE HOLDS OFF MORAD IN EXCITING MONTREAL RACE
