Porsche has announced a brand new 2018 718 Cayman and Boxster in a sporty GTS model. Arriving in early 2018, the GTS will be available in a manual 6 speed, or in a 7 speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK). Porsche Torque Vectoring technology (PTV), a mechanical rear differential lock, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), a sport exhaust system, as well as the Sport Chrono Package will come standard in the GTS.
A naturally aspirated turbocharged 2.5 litre boxer 4 engine will power the sports car, taking it from 0-100 kilometers in 4.1 seconds. It will reach a top speed of 290 kilometers per hour with 365 horse power and 317 foot pounds of torque.
Luxury will be evident with the Sport Chrono Package; Alcantara found on the steering wheel, centre console, armrests, and as well as on the GTS embroidered sports seats. An exciting feature of the 718 GTS is the Porsche Track Precision App which can record, display, and analyze driving data onto the users’ smartphone.
