For the 2nd year in a row, there is a small group of people in the Byron community of London, who have teamed up to host a fun filled evening in their small neighborhood. There are a number of households who have really taken to the holiday spirit and have gone all out decorating and spreading holiday cheer. One item that stands out are the number of homes that have a 14-foot inflatable Santa on their front lawn.
With some planning, a walking tour through the neighborhood was thoughtfully created including a live Santa walking the streets for the children, coffee and hot chocolate stands, music playing carols and so much more. At the end of the route, there are a number of families who are receiving food donations and cash donations that all go straight to the London Food Bank. This year, with the contribution of all of these people and some local businesses, the total came to over 3,800lbs of dry food along with over $6,000 of cash donations. It was an incredible evening and one that Porsche of London has now donated to for the past 2 years. Some of the other business that donated include: A&B Party Rental, Courtesy Ford, Subaru of London, Channer’s, The Realty Firm Prestige Brokerage and Flandscape.
