With the introduction of the Taycan, Porsche ushered in a new legacy, pioneering the electrification of the sports car. As the Taycan lineup grows to include the Taycan Cross Turismo, Porsche is heralding a yet another legacy of electric adventure-spirited vehicles that excite both on and off-road.
The all-electric Taycan Cross Turismo is built on the same 800-volt architecture as the Taycan, designed for lightning-fast charging with an impressive range required for Porsche’s first Cross Utility Vehicle. And when combined with the Cross Turismo’s high-tech chassis and robust body geometry, the road is sure to lead towards adventure.
Even with the nearly 1,200 litres of luggage space available within the cabin, the Cross Turismo’s exterior identity doesn’t shy from the iconic DNA of models reminiscent of the 911, with a sloping roofline, aggressively curved wings and a flat front. Something that does stand out about the saloon’s stature, however, is its adaptive air suspension system, allowing up to 30 millimetres of ground clearance with the Offroad Design Package.
When gravel turns to level pavement again, the vehicle’s air suspension system will automatically lower as speed increases, favouring an efficient aerodynamic position.
Much like the Taycan, the Cross Turismo’s electric powertrain offers a low centre of gravity for a comfortable and exciting driving experience. Its two permanently actuated synchronous electric motors on the front and rear axles deliver an output of 560 kW (750 hp) and can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds.
Additional winning features include all-wheel drive, Performance Battery Plus extended range, a stunning panoramic glass roof in addition, and 30mm of increased headroom on the rear seats to create a spacious atmosphere within the cabin.
Cyclists will be eager to utilize the option for a mounted bicycle rack on the vehicle’s rear, which is capable of carrying three e-bikes between adventures.
