Daniel Morad continues his steady and podium-worthy learning curve in Porsche GT3 racing.
Following this morning’s qualification session, Scott Hargrove will start the race first, Chris Green second and Daniel Morad third out of a field of 15 cars.
Daniel is quite happy with this result, considering he was cautious in order to preserve his tires for the race. His best time in qualification was 1:13.260, while both Scott (at 1:12.300) and Chris (at 1:13.039) were a lot harder on tires, occasionally flat-spotting.
As tires are limited and the same sets need to also be used in the race, managing tire wear is paramount in this series.
Commenting on the track, Daniel found it to be slippery at the beginning, but could see it getting warmer as the qualification was progressing, with the fastest laps happening towards the end of the session. This promises for even quicker laps for the first race this afternoon as other series continue to warm up the track and the temperature climbs.
