There’s no better way to celebrate the start of summer than with a good old fashioned get together, and that’s exactly what we did on June 2nd at Porsche Centre Oakville. Entertainment was plentiful at our Porsche True North (PTN) After Dark soiree, as guests were treated to an impressive performance by a live dance crew, food trucks, art installations, and, of course, the opportunity to mingle with fellow Porsche enthusiasts and their vehicles. In true Porsche Centre Oakville fashion, there was also exclusive PCO merchandise to be had.

 

The entire event was a celebration of 75 Years of Porsche, a milestone anniversary for the German automaker, and welcomed local owners, enthusiasts and fanatics of the heritage manufacturer. There have been Porsche 75-year events happening around the world as we commemorate Ferry Porsche dreaming up the ‘No.1’ Roadster, thus setting the framework for the brand. It’s a true honour to participate in these global festivities.

 

Marking this milestone alongside PTN was a highlight, too. This GTA-based automotive club, which connects fellow Canadian Porsche enthusiasts with one another and boasts around 3,000 members, has a similar ethos as we do at PCO and so it only made sense to partner with them for the evening.

 

There was an unmistakable sense of electricity in the air as Porsche aficionados mingled amongst one another and the machines. Toronto Raptor power forward Precious Achiuwa, one of our brand ambassadors, was also in attendance and his presence brought an added energy.
