Daniel Morad of Alegra/Porsche Centre Oakville Motorsport’s Porsche GT3 Cup race team will start both weekend races in second position.
Qualifications for the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin race series were held at 8:55 this morning at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (previously known as Mosport) under cold but otherwise perfect conditions.
Scott Hargrove grabbed first with a 1:19.668 lap time. Morad stood 0.216 second behind at 1:19.884 and Marco Cirone third with a 1:20.004 time. Meanwhile, Chris Green is fourth with a 1:20.110 time.
Morad’s 15 years old teammate Michael De Quesada is leading the Gold Cup division grabbing the seventh spot.
These times determine the starting positions for both weekend races.
With Morad’s history of strong starts and the challenging nature of the first few turns sets the stage for a very interesting start for both races, which are the last ones of the 2015 season.
