Here’s what you missed at the Porsche booth at the Canadian International Auto Show
Including a surprise appearance by Leafs net minder Jonathan Bernier
Canadian car enthusiast of all stripes filled the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto this past week for the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS). It’s a once-a-year opportunity for motorheads, perspective buyers, media and industry members alike to learn what the year ahead has to offer, automotively speaking. And as far as Porsche is concerned, there’s plenty on offer.
The Porsche booth was anchored by a pair of race cars sitting side by side—the Porsche 919 Hybrid Le Mans Prototype class LMP1; and the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, a production model based race car for Club Racing & Development Series. Both garnered their fair share of attention, battling for eyes against the recently unveiled, all-new 2017 Porsche 911 S models on display.
On the final day of the event, brand ambassador and Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier paid a surprise visit to the display to pose for photos with his friends at Porsche Centre Oakville, sign some autographs and get a peak inside the GT4 Clubsport.
Good to be at #cias supporting @porschecentreoakville @fpolicaro

If you missed the event this year, you can always come into the Porsche Centre Oakville showroom for a tour of what’s new at Porsche. Or, there’s always next year.
