A timeless design, a contemporary interpretation. The unmistakable silhouette of the 911 is characterized by its iconic flyline. It has barely changed since 1963, and has shaped the DNA of all Porsche models. Including, of course, the 911 Cabriolet and Targa models.
The multifunction sports steering wheel allows comfortable use of the audio, telephone and navigation functions. The paddles ensure short strokes and quick and precise gear changes. On the GT sports steering wheel, additional thumb rests and a “noon” mark clearly refer to the motorsport genes of the 911.
The 911's sport seats are comfortable and provide cornering support. Sport seats Plus are designed for even more sportiness. Firmer side bands on the seat and back improve lateral support. Another advantage: the fully electric adjustment with Memory Pack of the two seats for more comfort for the driver and front passenger.
100% suitable for everyday use: the boot volume of the 911 models is 132 liters.
The rear seats are remarkably comfortable for a sports car. The folding backrests provide ample storage space behind them and provide additional volume of up to 264 l.
Flat opposed 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine.
The engine of the 911 models is of the twin-turbo type. Among the most striking features: high revs, exceptional responsiveness and a wide range of torque available from low revs. The “flat” concept allows for a low center of gravity due to the short overall length, reduced height and position at the rear of the vehicle. The engine close to the center of the vehicle provides more stability and less vibration.
The engines have 2 turbochargers and charge air cooling. It is an important part of turbocharging and it goes a long way in improving performance and reducing emissions.
The 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission enables ultra-fast gear changes without breaking down torque and in milliseconds. The PDK gearbox thus combines a very sporty setting in ratios 1 to 6 with reduced transmission ratios (ratios 7 and 8).
