An ongoing tradition in car communities are car meets. Our usual meets consist of Porsche owners and enthusiasts, but for some added fun, we opened up our last meet for all supercar owners. From SLS AMG’s to Mclarens, we had a variety of makes and models including a 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster.
Our day started out looking a little gloomy with light and dark clouds rolling through, however, once guests started to arrive and check out the vehicles on display, the sun came out and was shining bright. As the day progressed it got hotter and turned out to be the perfect day for a car meet. There was no raining on this parade, or meet I should say.
With help from our friends at Deco Nova Exclusive Eatery and Lounge, we were able to provide our guests with some light refreshments and snacks as well as exclusive offers for when our guests would like to visit. As a club, we have had the unique opportunity to partner with some fantastic local companies such as restaurants, lounges, and even retailers to bring exclusive offers and merchandise to our members.
As a secret surprise for our guests, we had unveiled a 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster 25th Anniversary Edition in a Jet-Black Metallic exterior and a unique Bordeaux Red Interior. The special edition is based off the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 model, and powered by a 394hp naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine. This massive powerhouse and light body allow the Boxster to reach 60 in 3.8 seconds and continue onwards until it hits a top speed of 182mph. With subtle nods to the original Boxster first launched in 1996 in Europe, the 718 has front and side air intakes, five spoke, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a special “Boxster 25” badge on the rear. The interior package in brushed aluminum, 14-way electronically adjustable sport seats, heated GT sport steering wheel and door sill trims with “Boxster 25” lettering all come as standard equipment on the special edition model. Now in its fourth generation, with more than 357,000 units produced so far, this special edition model will be limited to just 1,250 units.
Although the supercar season is wrapping up, we will be hosting one last meet for our members and supercar owners and enthusiast. In partnership with Starlight Casino and hosted in a covered parking lot, this will be our largest meet yet with over 100 supercars! Our partners at Starlight casino will also be launching their brand-new food truck and having it open for the first time ever and giving out some incentives for casino play! Feel free to think this as a hint and sign up to be a member of the 1939 Drive Club so you don’t miss out on any cool opportunities.
