“This is an exciting new era for Porsche in B.C. with two of B.C.’s largest automotive groups combining their strengths, expertise and passion for Porsche in order to deliver on a vision for a new flagship location that will embody the very essence of the Porsche brand,” said Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group.
OpenRoad and Dilawri both currently own and operate existing Porsche centres in the Vancouver area. OpenRoad’s Porsche Centre Langley and Dilawri’s Porsche Centre Vancouver have both achieved the highest success and have been honoured with the Porsche Canada Premier Dealership Award for industry excellence. Porsche Centre Richmond will be the third and largest Porsche centre in the Vancouver area and will be jointly owned and operated through a newly formed partnership between OpenRoad Auto Group and Dilawri Group of Companies.
“We’re continuing to see demand for new and used Porsche cars in British Columbia so when the opportunity came up for another sales and service centre, Richmond was a natural choice based on its central location and high concentration of Porsche owners,” said Ajay Dilawri, Principal Director of Dilawri Group of Companies. “We’re confident in our partnership with OpenRoad and the future of Porsche Centre Richmond. We look forward to opening the doors in late 2020.”
Marc Ouayoun, President & CEO of Porsche Cars Canada along with Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group, and Ajay Dilawri, Principal Director of Dilawri Group of Companies, unveiled plans for the new 75,000-square-foot retail and service centre that will feature a massive new and pre-owned showroom, expansive service and parts area with 15 service bays, a service drive-thru and specialized delivery area. The new centre will staff approximately 40 employees in the areas of sales, service, management and administration. Construction of the multimillion-dollar Porsche AG designed project is being constructed by Wales McLelland.
