More than 20 years ago Porsche asked if a sports car could celebrate more than the individual. The Cayenne provided the answer. Today, Porsche has redefined its successful luxury SUV with a comprehensively upgraded design and more powerful engine range.
The Cayenne has a particularly expressive appearance. A new front end, combined with strongly arched wings, new bonnet and tech-appealing headlights, emphasizes its strong stance. Three-dimensionally designed taillights, uncluttered surfaces and a new rear apron characterize the new rear end design.
The new Cayenne debuts with three different engines. An extensive refinement of the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine lends the Cayenne S a maximum power output of 468 hp and a drag torque of 442 lb-ft. The top speed is 273 km/h. Generating more force than ever before, the entry into the world of Cayenne comes with an optimized 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine. The six-cylinder engine also forms the basis of the powertrain of the 463 hp Cayenne E-Hybrid. In combination with a new electric motor, it achieves superior driving performance in e-mode, with greater support for the combustion engine.
Whether in the driver’s seat or as a passenger, driving a Porsche should feel like a sport while still offering tremendous comfort. Cayenne models manage this ‘balancing act’ effortlessly, thanks to the enhanced chassis and technologies like Porsche Active Suspension Management. New shock absorbers with 2-valve technology allow enhanced performance in all driving situations – including the most demanding terrain.
Owners can use a comprehensive range of new and optimized assistance systems. These include the active speed limiter, swerve assist, cornering assist, and the improved Porsche InnoDrive, as part of the adaptive cruise control. This means that the new Cayenne is even better at helping the driver in dangerous situations as well as in traffic jams on roads and freeways.
Equipped standard with matrix LED headlights, the optional HD matrix LED headlights (with over 64,000 combined pixels) now push functionality even further. Their innovative technology increases both safety and comfort specifically tailored to your driving situation.
Debuting for the new Cayenne models, the Porsche Driver Experience display and control concept is designed for the driver. A key feature is a balance of digital and analogue elements. Functions that the driver uses frequently are located directly on/immediately next to the steering wheel. The redesigned cockpit includes a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster and, for the first time, a 10.9-inch infotainment display on the passenger side.
To the office, off-road or on the racetrack – the new Cayenne offers absolute driving pleasure on every terrain, paired with the refined design details typical of a Porsche.
