The Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge returned for its fourth season and Porsche Centre Saskatchewan was excited to participate for the first time in this adrenaline-fueled racing series.
Racers representing Porsche Centres across Canada took the wheel of a digital version of the newest 911 GT3 Cup Car, based on the 992 generation of the iconic sports car.
For the first time this year, entrants not only competed for the Driver’s Championship, but also vied for the Constructor’s Championship title.
An overview of the 2023 series:
- 21 Porsche Centre Teams with 2 drivers each competed in both the Constructor’s and Driver’s Championships.
- Eight venues: world-renowned racetracks Sebring International Raceway, Road America and Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos) were new to the series this year; Canadian venues (Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park) bookended the race schedule.
- The full eight-race schedule was live-streamed on the Porsche Twitch channel.
From start to finish, the 2023 Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Canada season was nothing short of intense. Antoine Lacharité from Team Porsche Lauzon is the series champion. The Driver’s Championship winner received the opportunity to extend his driving skills in real life at a Porsche Track Experience program.
Antoine also played a pivotal role alongside teammate Guillaume Lévesque, in securing the Constructor’s Championship for the Porsche Lauzon team.
Special thanks to our Porsche Centre Saskatchewan drivers: Arnaud Etienne Genest, Jean-Phillippe Dubois and Josh Arduini.
