In 1948, the 356 was launched - the genesis of Porsche road cars. Since then we have savoured the continual evolution of the iconic 911, witnessed innumerous victories on racing circuits across the world, peered into the exciting future of the automobile with the all-electric Taycan, and marvelled at other countless Porsche milestones. 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of Porsche and the 60th anniversary of the 911, and we had an epic celebration with our Driven By Dreams event.

We were out bright and early at 4:00am on Sunday, June 11th at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. The early start coincided with the closing stages of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023. Porsche has claimed a record-setting 19 victories at the hallowed French endurance race, and a quartet of 963 Hybrids raced in an effort to capture the marque's 20th victory in the top-tier Hypercar class. While other manufacturers took podium honors in the Hypercar class, the hotly contested LMGTE Am saw a 911 RSR-19 finish in a well-fought third place. Many lessons learned, and the opportunities given to the competing teams to work and fix issues under pressure were invaluable, and we look forward to next year's running of the world's greatest endurance race!

After the race's conclusion at 7:00am, a hearty continental breakfast was served, along with endless coffee and refreshments. All throughout the remainder of the day were track sessions for all who joined, and it was breathtaking to witness Porsches of all ages lap the 19-corners of the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. Race trials were also had on the immersive simulators in the paddock, and a savory selection of foods for lunch was had to sustain everyone leading up to the day's conclusion at 4:00pm.
