February 10th 2021 marked the 25th year of the Club becoming a distinct region of the Porsche Club of America, as formerly, the Island was part of the Canada West region.
This year the Club is working on a full schedule of events to celebrate this milestone and members can look forward to some exciting events, drives, and a year-end gala once provincial restrictions ease. Online Zoom events for members are being held in the meantime as a celebratory start to this momentous occasion. In addition to the future celebration, the Club is in the process of planning their legendary Black Rock charity event and is working towards it taking place this year with a limited format in mind to comply with current protocols.
25 years marks an exciting milestone for the Club and has inspired their new 25 Roads for 25 Years project. Club members will be provided with a ‘passport’ listing the best and most beautiful driving routes on Vancouver Island covering destinations from Victoria to Port Hardy. Those who complete this exciting challenge will be in line to win a number of super Club prizes!
The Club wishes to thank the original 1996 executive committee and supporters for their efforts in making the Vancouver Island Region a successful reality. Many of those involved are still active members and continue to regularly attend events and share in the Porsche passion.
