1,415 kg is propelled by a masterpiece 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, closely related to the engine from the 911 GT3. 493 bhp and 331 lb.-ft of torque is produced at a manic 9,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear-wheels exclusively via the low-ratio seven-speed PDK transmission. 0-100 km/h is a mere 3.4-seconds, and the top speed pushes 315 km/h. Impressive gains compared to the 718 Cayman GT4, the aural experience is likewise enhanced with thinner glass featured throughout, and air intakes being positioned nearer to the occupant’s ears. This complimenting the howling exhaust note with thrilling intake sounds. The optional Weissach Package pushes the dynamic envelope further with carbon-weave finishes for several components, titanium tailpipes resembling those on the Porsche 935, forged magnesium wheels, and upper dashboard upholstered in Race-Tex material.
