This past January 28th, Porsche Centre Victoria eagerly participated in the Victoria Electric Vehicle Association's Eco Night at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena. Two all-electric Taycan sedans were in attendance and were undoubtedly the highlight of the evening. The sleek and undeniable Porsche-style proudly proclaimed its capabilities of performance and luxury for all to enjoy from every seat at the arena. With net battery capacity ranging from 71.0 kWh to 83.7 kWh, the Taycan can recharge from 5% up to 80% capacity in as little as 22.5 minutes and, in its most potent Turbo S trim, can reliably reach 100 km/h from standstill in less than 3 seconds. With an available comprehensive suite of driver aid systems and intelligent engineering, the Taycan stands out as an automotive superlative and a seamless embodiment of Porsche's renowned dynamics and quality with confident use of futuristic technology.
The Victoria Electric Vehicle Association is a non-profit, volunteer-run association that advocates for Canadian electric vehicle owners to all levels of government. They also aim to promote a positive shift in attitudes and adoption of electric cars and sustainable energy solutions by way of hosting public events, as well as sharing and publishing credible electric vehicle media and information online. Their Eco Night event punctuated an electrifying WHL game between the hometown Victoria Royals and the visiting Kamloops Blazers. A tense and well-fought finish of 3-2 was reached in favor of the Royals with a goal scored each period, against two goals scored in the third period by the visiting Blazers.
