911 Model Overview

A timeless design, a contemporary interpretation. The unmistakable silhouette of the 911 is characterized by its iconic flyline. It has barely changed since 1963, and has shaped the DNA of all models. Including, of course, the 911 Cabriolet and Targa models.

Engine, chassis, body. In every component of the 911, we have invested years of experience, thousands of ideas and countless hours of development. Even the smallest innovation would fill a book. Yet, it is only when all individual parts work as one that we see a particular principle emerge: a harmonious overall concept or – as our engineers sometimes call it – the unique technical layout of the 911.

Carrera S

The new S models raise the performance concept to an even higher level, with a twin turbo engine capable of 420 horsepower. Here, too, some turbo-enabled downsizing has reduced fuel consumption, and increased driving pleasure at the same time. The S models generate a maximum torque of 368 lb.-ft. – from as low as 1,700 rpm – putting them ahead of their predecessor once more by an impressive 43 lb.-ft...And you ahead of the field.

Targa 4

A legend of the 911 range, a classic, a sports car dream – ‘the Targa’ always will have a special place at Porsche. Conceived 50 years ago as a ‘safety cabriolet’, the Targa gained its reputation as a design icon thanks to its style defining roll bar. With the innovative fully automatic roof system now in its seventh generation, our engineers have seen the Targa idea mature into a technical masterpiece.

GTS

It is precisely this inner drive that dwells within the new 911 GTS model. GTS. Three letters that, with the new 911 GTS models, represent an athletic boost of 30 hp and 36 lb-ft torque by comparison with the 911 Carrera S models. And a great deal more in terms of sharpness of design,equipment specification, and driving dynamic. GTS. A sports car concept for all those who regard superlative standards as a reason for being - because, quite simply, nothing less would do.

911 Carrera Cabriolet

The new 911 Cabriolet models have always been characterized by open virtues. Made for civilized cruising on the costal road, but also for some sporty corner chasing in the mountains. What does that have to do with design? A great deal, because not only does the innovative fabric hood capture the elegance of a 911 Coupe silhouette, the low drag coefficient and use of lightweight materials also mean that the 911 cabriolet models come uncannily close to matching the performance of a closed-top 911. Form and function once again working as one.
