Porsche Centre Winnipeg has always been inspired by women with drive, and recently created the Porsche Centre Winnipeg Women's Grant to celebrate these passionate women. This $2,500 educational grant was intended to reward a dedicated and successful woman for her hard work, and we believe that this mission has been accomplished.
We comprised an all-female group of panelists to determine the recipient of this award. Thankfully, many Porsche clients are highly accomplished women in a variety of industries - Carmyn Aleshka, Dr. Ainslie Mihalchuk, and Dr. Noriko Boorberg. Our panel consisted of Manitoba-based women who are all highly respected in their fields. We are truly grateful to have so many intelligent and inspiring women call Winnipeg home.
We are so pleased to announce the winner of the $2,500 Women's Grant: Lindsay Bain!
Lindsay is a 4th year Global Political Economy student at the University of Manitoba, and holds several leadership positions in various extracurricular groups and committees. As a 2021 representative for Young Diplomats of Canada at the 2021 World Trade Organization Annual Forum, Lindsay has a desire to create positive change in the world through advocating for more equitable social policy and justice systems. Lindsay hopes to obtain a graduate degree in Public Policy, preparing her for a career in government.
We were blown away by the extremely impressive applications we received from so many women in Winnipeg. Choosing a recipient was no easy task for our panelists, and we are grateful for every application we received. We forward to seeing all the incredible accomplishments of all applicants in their respective careers in the future.
