Porsche Centre Winnipeg is proud to present our entry in the 2025 Porsche Classic Restoration Competition: the transformation of a 2004 Cayenne Turbo, imported from Japan and ready for an off-road transformation.
This project reimagines a first-generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo as a rugged overland rig built for Manitoba’s snow and prairie terrain. Combining the Cayenne’s powerful drivetrain with key upgrades: including a 3-inch air suspension lift, 18” wheels with all-terrain tires, a custom front tube bar, and a rally-inspired livery wrap, the build enhances both capability and character. Inside the modernized PCCM Plus system adds seamless connectivity while preserving Porsche’s classic craftsmanship. This unique transformation sets it apart with a bold blend of performance, utility, and heritage.
At Porsche Centre Winnipeg, our technicians are equipped with the factory training, specialized tools, and brand expertise necessary to carry out restorations to the highest standard. Backed by Porsche’s commitment to excellence, this project is a testament to what’s possible when timeless engineering meets purposeful design.
This Cayenne isn’t just being restored—it’s being redefined.
As we move deeper into the Mechanical Refresh phase of the restoration competition, our team is making steady and exciting progress on the 2004 Cayenne Turbo. This stage is all about refining the essentials—ensuring the vehicle not only looks exceptional but performs to the elevated standards expected of our brand.
Current work in progress includes:
- New wheels and tires
- Lift kit installation, adjustments, and alignment
- Front push bar with integrated lighting
- PCCM Plus system installation
- Additional mechanical upgrades underway
Every component is bringing the vehicle closer to a refined and fully customized final form. Porsche Centre Winnipeg is excited to share the next phase of the transformation soon.
3-Inch Air Suspension Lift Kit – An off-road–focused system built on Porsche’s factory air suspension. Adjustable ride height means comfort on-road, serious articulation off-road.
18” Lightweight Alloy Wheels + All-Terrain Tires – Aggressive tread for grip, added clearance for trails, and spacers to widen stance and stability.
Custom Front Tube Bar with Mounted Lighting – A minimalist steel design that protects the front end while preserving approach angles. Outfitted with auxiliary lighting, it’s ready for low-visibility trails and nighttime driving.
PCCM Plus Upgrade – Porsche Classic Communication Management brings modern tech (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, Bluetooth) to the original cabin with a seamless factory look.
Coming Soon: Racing Decals – Motorsport-inspired graphics will tie the build together with Porsche heritage and an off-road edge.
This Cayenne Turbo is more than a build — it’s Porsche engineering reimagined for the wild.
Our imported 2004 Cayenne Turbo now stands as a true off-road Porsche: lifted on a 3-inch air suspension, rolling on 18” alloys with all-terrain grip, armored with a custom tube bar and mounted lighting, upgraded with Porsche Classic tech, and finished with heritage racing decals and Porsche mudflaps.
Next stop: shipped off to PECTO for the final showcase and expedition. Competing against other off-road Cayenne builds from Porsche centres across Canada!
