Two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSMs) catapult the Taycan Turbo S to 616 hp (750 with overboost). With a standing start performance of 1.2g, it accelerates faster than the force of gravity for the first few metres—making it faster than a skydiver in free fall. Car and Driver said the Turbo S was “among the quickest cars we've ever tested, even tying hypercars like the $1.7 million, 1000-hp Bugatti Veyron 16.4.
The Porsche Taycan Turbo comes with a standard 93-kWh lithium-ion battery, larger wheels, ceramic-coated brakes, torque-vectoring steering, upgraded headlights, leather upholstery, 14-way power-adjustable front seats with memory settings, heated rear seats, a suede headliner, stainless steel pedals, and a 14-speaker Bose surround-sound stereo.
The Taycan Turbo is available with all the optional features from the base model that aren't already added as standard.
