We will be moving to a SaaS version of Sitecore, which is more modern, performant, and resilient and will significantly reduce performance degradation and publishing issues.
The move to SaaS will introduce new content editing and maintenance tools. We anticipate enhancing DWaaS editor capabilities even further after the initial migration to the new platform is complete.
The new platform will allow us to develop more complex integrations more rapidly. For example, we have struggled with the C@P integration on the existing platform due to its complexity, and this upgrade will enable us to deliver C@P in optimal condition.
The new, stable and up-to-date platform will have an impact on the content editing experience and provide several improvements, including:
- Enhancements in image publishing
- More performant tools for editors
- Publishing queue enhancements
- Reduced release-related downtimes
Presently, new functionalities can only be delivered to DWaaS end customers or editors once every two weeks. For modern business needs, it is essential to have the flexibility to deliver bug fixes and releases more frequently. The new platform will support a more common cadence for these updates.
