We are happy to celebrate the success of Liam MacFarlane, who has recently completed his apprenticeship and earned his certification as a Porsche-approved technician.
Tell us about your apprenticeship experience:
"My apprenticeship was absolutely amazing. Cars have always been my thing and I knew wanted to be a mechanic but never with anything boring. I love coming into work and somedays I'm working on GT3's, it's pretty amazing that I'm able to do that. The workshop is quite close, we're like a family. I met Tyler and he taught me everything I know so I'm very thankful to him. Each month I travelled for a week of training at the new state of the art training centre which is full of the latest Porsche equipment. The teachers were really good and had been in the trade for decades so really knew their stuff."
What have you enjoyed most during your apprenticeship?:
"The cars of course. Being able to work on Porsches for a living is great and getting to drive them too. It's just so much fun coming into work and genuinely enjoying what you do. I feel like there's nothing more important nowadays than doing something you love, so I'm very grateful to have that."
How proud do you feel right now?:
"Very proud. I wasn't sure where I was going to go after school, which I'm sure is the case for a lot of people, but the fact I've been able to achieve this makes me really happy."
