Our team recently travelled to Mallorca, Spain, to take part in an exclusive training programme focused on the much anticipated Porsche Cayenne Electric, ahead of its UK arrival later this year.
Over the course of three days, members of our Sales team took part in an immersive programme designed to explore the new model in depth. For many, this was their first opportunity to see the Cayenne Electric up close — and to experience how Porsche has translated its performance DNA into an electric SUV.
A Stunning Location to Match the Car
With Mallorca’s rugged mountain roads, sweeping coastal routes and open highways as a backdrop, the island proved to be an ideal setting to demonstrate the Cayenne Electric’s versatility.
Hosted in a five star environment, the programme blended detailed classroom sessions with extensive on road driving, ensuring the team gained both technical knowledge and real world insight.
On the Road: Comfort, Control and Confidence
A standout moment of the experience was a convoy drive along Mallorca’s west coast. Covering a diverse mix of road conditions — from flowing open roads to tight mountain passes and traditional villages — the drive highlighted the Cayenne Electric’s balance of refinement and dynamic performance.
The team rotated between the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric throughout the journey, allowing them to clearly understand the distinct characteristics and performance levels across the range.
On Track: Performance Unleashed
The final day saw the team head to Circuit Mallorca in Llucmajor, where focus shifted to the vehicle’s outright capability.
Here, the Cayenne Turbo Electric demonstrated its full potential. With up to 1,156 PS, it stands as the most powerful production Porsche ever created. Advanced aerodynamics — including active aero side blades and front aero flaps — combined with Porsche Active Ride delivered exceptional precision, control and stability on track.
The programme included launch control demonstrations, achieving 0–62 mph (0-100km/h) in just 2.5 seconds, alongside time spent exploring driving modes such as Sport Plus and Push to Pass, showcasing the car’s impressive responsiveness.
Beyond the Tarmac: Off Road Capability
The experience also highlighted the Cayenne Electric’s ability away from the road. Tackling steep gradients, loose surfaces and challenging terrain with confidence, the vehicle underlined its all round capability.
These sessions reinforced that the Cayenne Electric remains true to the versatility the model is known for — now enhanced through electrification.
