F1 in Schools
F1 in Schools29/01/2026
On Thursday 29 January 2026, we held our annual F1 in Schools evening with Ron Dearing UTC at Porsche Centre Hull. The F1-inspired competition is the world's largest in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with over one million school children in 40 countries taking part every year. Ron Dearing UTC students are preparing to go head-to-head with peers across the region.

This year, we had the privilege of supporting Ron Dearing's UTC first all-female team, Apex Angels. To prepare for the competition, Apex Angels have designed, manufactured and raced miniature F1 cars using CAD/ CAM software, developed their own team branding and built lifelong skills such as, time management and budgeting whilst abiding to sustainable practices. Apex Angels have developed and managed their own social media presence on Instagram and Facebook in preparation.

The evening consisted of Apex Angels showcasing their ideas, plans and F1 car prototypes and pitching to potential sponsors, friends and family. The team showed off their F1 cars by racing the cars on a 25-metre track in the dealership.

Holding the event at our dealership has supported the team to bring their visions to life by implementing sustainability including eco-friendly materials and carbon footprint reduction into their project by finding sponsorships.

We wish the best of luck to Apex Angels in the regional finals!
