The latest addition to the Porsche GT family brings an even more immersive driving experience to the 911 range. The new 911 GT3 S/C combines the unmistakable character of a high-revving naturally aspirated engine with the freedom of open-top driving, creating a model that is focused entirely on driver engagement.
Drawing inspiration from models such as the 911 Speedster and 911 S/T, the GT3 S/C has been developed with a clear emphasis on lightweight construction and pure driving enjoyment. For the first time, this formula is paired with a fully automatic convertible roof, offering the opportunity to experience the sound and responsiveness of a GT3 with nothing between driver and road.
At its heart is the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine from the 911 GT3, producing 510 PS and delivering its power through a short-ratio six-speed manual transmission. This setup ensures a highly connected driving experience, with performance to match — accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 313 km/h.
The GT3 S/C is designed as a true two-seater, reinforcing its driver-focused nature. Despite the addition of a fully automatic soft top, weight has been kept remarkably low at just 1,497 kilograms, thanks to the extensive use of lightweight materials. Carbon fibre is used for key exterior panels including the bonnet, wings and doors, while magnesium components feature in both the wheels and the roof structure. Lightweight details such as a lithium-ion battery and ceramic braking system further contribute to its agility and responsiveness.
The fully automatic roof has been carefully engineered to maintain the signature 911 silhouette. When closed, it follows a smooth, coupé-like line, while opening or closing takes around 12 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h. An integrated wind deflector enhances comfort when driving with the roof down, even at higher speeds.
Inside, the focus remains firmly on the driving experience. The interior combines lightweight materials with a purposeful design, featuring Sports Seats Plus as standard and a clean, driver-oriented layout. The digital instrument display includes a dedicated ‘Track Screen’ mode, reducing information to essential performance data, while shift lights highlight the optimal moment to change gear as the engine approaches its 9,000 rpm redline.
Visually, the GT3 S/C carries a distinctive appearance, with a black windscreen surround, lightweight body components and a design that clearly reflects its GT lineage. Aerodynamic elements, including a rear spoiler with Gurney flap and optimised air intakes, support both performance and stability.
For those looking to further personalise their car, an optional Street Style Package introduces unique exterior detailing and an extensively enhanced interior finish, while Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers a wide range of bespoke options.
