Our team recently travelled to Mallorca, Spain to take part in an exclusive training programme centred around the highly anticipated Porsche Cayenne Electric, ahead of its arrival in the UK later this year.
Across three days, colleagues from our Sales team were immersed in a comprehensive experience designed to explore every aspect of the new model. For many, this marked their first opportunity to see the Cayenne Electric in person — and to experience first-hand how Porsche is redefining performance in an electric SUV.
An Ideal Setting for an Exceptional Car
Set against the backdrop of Mallorca’s dramatic coastlines, mountain passes and open roads, the location provided the perfect environment to showcase the versatility of the Cayenne Electric.
Based in a five-star setting, the programme combined classroom learning with real-world driving, allowing the team to gain both technical understanding and practical experience.
On the Road: Refinement Meets Performance
One of the highlights of the experience was a convoy drive along the island’s west coast. Taking in a variety of road types — from smooth carriageways to winding mountain routes and through traditional towns — the drive demonstrated the balance of comfort, control and performance that defines the Cayenne.
Throughout the journey, the team had the opportunity to rotate between the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric, gaining a clear understanding of the differences in character and performance across the range.
On Track: Exploring the Limits
The final day brought the team to Circuit Mallorca in Llucmajor, where attention turned to outright performance.
Here, the Cayenne Turbo Electric showcased its full capability. Producing up to 1,189 PS, it represents the most powerful production Porsche to date. Equipped with advanced aerodynamics — including active aero side blades and front aero flaps — alongside the Porsche Active Ride system, the vehicle delivered exceptional stability and precision on track.
Experiences included launch control acceleration, achieving 0–62 mph in just 2.5 seconds, as well as exploring multiple driving modes such as Sport Plus and ‘Push to Pass’, highlighting the car’s responsiveness and dynamic range.
Off-Road Capability: Expanding Expectations
Beyond the road and track, the Cayenne Electric also demonstrated impressive off-road ability.
Across steep inclines, loose surfaces and challenging terrain, the vehicle maintained composure and control, further emphasising its versatility. The experience highlighted how the Cayenne Electric continues to embody the all-round capability expected of the model — now enhanced through electrification.
Preparing for Arrival
This immersive training has provided our team with valuable insight into every aspect of the Cayenne Electric, from performance and technology to design, range and personalisation.
Most notably, the experience reinforced how naturally the Cayenne Electric carries forward the DNA of its combustion predecessor, while elevating it through advanced technology and refined engineering.
Our team now looks forward to sharing this knowledge with customers as the Cayenne Electric arrives in Centre later this year.
See It First
Ahead of its official arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to see the new Cayenne Electric in person at the Donington Historic Festival, taking place from 1st–3rd May, where a pre-launch vehicle will be on display.
