Porsche Centre Preston is partnering with Toro Verde GT for the 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup GB campaign.
With the Toro Verde GT team based in Rochdale, Porsche Centre Preston is just a short trip across Lancashire and perfectly placed to support its racing throughout the season, extending the partnership for a second season.
The Centre will be prominently featured on the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machine entered by Dan Lloyd this season, as the Yorkshireman makes his return to the Carrera Cup after two years in the series after becoming the Porsche GB Junior Driver in 2011.
Tom Fox, Managing Director, Porsche Centre Preston, said: “We are thrilled to be backing Dan Lloyd and Toro Verde GT in this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Toro Verde GT is an exciting young team based in Rochdale, a few miles away from us here in Preston. The match-up with Dan Lloyd is a competitive combination. This is our second year sponsoring Toro Verde GT, and we’re looking forward to building on our existing partnership.
“It is going to be another exciting season. We love seeing our livery on the cars. Better still, we love to build partnerships with teams and drivers who help our customers feel closer to the action. Our combination of race day and in-centre events will offer Porsche Centre Preston customers unrivalled access to the action. We can't wait for the Season to start!”
Porsche Centre Preston is planning events both on-site and at race meetings across the United Kingdom in support of the partnership, helping to bring its customers even closer to the action as Dan and the team fight towards the front of the grid.
Jules Westwood, Team Manager, Toro Verde GT, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Porsche Centre Preston again this season. We have an exciting line-up of drivers, with a good mix of front-runners and experienced racers, including Dan Lloyd, who will be carrying the Centre’s logo throughout 2024.
“It’s important for Toro Verde GT to build relationships with businesses in Lancashire and, having seen the great work everyone at Porsche Centre Preston does to bring its own customers closer to the action, it was a simple decision to continue working together this season.”
The Porsche Carrera Cup GB season begins over the weekend of April 27/28 at Donington Park in Leicestershire, taking in eight rounds and 16 races alongside the ever-popular British Touring Car Championship. Once again, at least one contest per meeting will be broadcast as part of ITV’s extensive live coverage.
