As part of Porsche Centre Preston’s #ChargedWithExperience programme, Service Advisor Natasha recently spent a week behind the wheel of the all-electric Macan - putting it to the test in both everyday family life and a weekend away.

 

From the start, the Macan impressed with its practicality. “It was a great size for family life,” Natasha shared. “Plenty of room for the school run and a very generous boot space for bags and luggage.”

 

The highlight of the week was a 140-mile round trip to Newcastle to see Sam Fender perform at St James’ Park. Setting off with 269 miles of range at 82% charge, Natasha and her partner enjoyed a mix of motorway and A-road driving, with the Macan delivering a quiet, smooth, and comfortable experience throughout. They arrived with 86 miles remaining and 29% charge.

 

The following morning, a stop-off at the Angel of the North provided the perfect opportunity to top up the battery using a nearby DC charger. “It was very straightforward to set up,” she noted. “We aimed to reach 200 miles of range and it took just 25 minutes.” They returned home with 34 miles to spare.

 

Reflecting on the experience, Natasha acknowledged that while she initially had concerns about range anxiety, her time with the Macan quickly changed her perspective. “It’s clear to see that not only have Porsche got it right with the technology, but the charging infrastructure is far more widespread than people expect.”

 

The Charged with Experience initiative gives the Porsche Centre team the chance to experience the electric line-up just as customers would - on real roads, in real life.
