
The certification involved a four-day training programme followed by six separate assessments covering areas such as customer-facing sales, resolving customer issues via telephone, and systems management. The certification is officially accredited and regarded as a benchmark for expertise in the field.
Stephen said: "It was a challenging programme, but I’m thrilled to have passed. It’s always rewarding to build on my skills. It’s all about delivering the best service possible for our customers. And keeping on top of the latest insights and service best practice are a big part of that."
With over 37 years of experience in parts management, Stephen has worked with the Bowker Group (who own Porsche Centre Preston) since 2012. In addition to his professional career, he is a motorsport enthusiast and an accomplished rally driver, having claimed the national rally championship title and an international rally win in 2019.
The certification programme is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in the automotive parts sector, ensuring high standards in customer service and operational efficiency.
Stephen added: "Motorsport has taught me the importance of precision and teamwork, and I try to bring that same approach to my work here at Porsche Centre Preston."
