Porsche has expanded its all-electric Macan line-up, introducing two new models that double the size of the range. The new rear-wheel-drive Macan serves as the entry point into Porsche's electric SUV series, while the Macan 4S sits at the upper end of the performance spectrum, bridging the gap between the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo.
Introducing the New Macan Models
The new rear-wheel-drive Macan is designed with a focus on efficiency and range. Powered by a rear-axle motor, the Macan delivers 250 kW (340 PS) and features a high-voltage battery with a 100 kWh capacity. This setup ensures an impressive combined WLTP range of up to 641 km. The vehicle’s lightweight design—110 kilograms less than the Macan 4—further enhances its efficiency, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 220 km/h.
The Macan 4S, positioned as a higher-performance option, features a powerful rear-axle motor with a 600-amp SiC pulse inverter and a front-axle motor. This combination delivers a system output of 330 kW (448 PS) and an overboost power of up to 380 kW (516 PS). The Macan 4S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 4.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 240 km/h, with a combined WLTP range of up to 606 km. Standard features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), adaptive air suspension, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), ensuring superior performance and comfort.
Cutting-Edge Technology and Design
Both new Macan models feature Porsche's advanced 800-volt architecture, allowing for a DC charging capacity of up to 270 kW. This enables the battery to charge from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 21 minutes at a suitable fast-charging station.
The new Macan models also boast a range of enhancements, including a new exterior colour, Slate Grey Neo, and a 20-inch Macan S wheel option. An optional off-road design package, available in Vesuvius Grey or the car’s exterior colour, further enhances the Macan's versatility. This package includes an off-road front bumper, increased ground clearance, and 21-inch off-road design wheels, making the Macan even more capable on rough terrain.
Enhanced Driver Experience
Porsche has introduced the Porsche Driver Experience across all Macan models, blending digital and analogue elements for a refined driving experience. The interior features a 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch passenger display, and a head-up display with augmented reality technology. The new Themes app allows drivers to customise the display and ambient lighting to match the exterior colour, offering a truly personalised experience.
Available Now
The new Macan and Macan 4S models are available to order now, with deliveries expected in the second half of the year. These models represent Porsche’s commitment to electrification, offering a range of options that cater to both efficiency-focused drivers and those seeking top-tier performance in an all-electric SUV.
