The My Porsche app's updated home screen has additional features, a more concise overview, and more information. Users can initiate numerous functions straight from the home screen by using the Quick Actions, and they can quickly access pertinent information. Depending on the model, different Quick Actions have different counts. For instance, a charging widget puts all of the app's pertinent charging features in one convenient spot for electric cars. Access to often used features is made possible by a scroll function and the prioritization of basic functions. The My Porsche app's home screen has undergone a total redesign. My Porsche in Apple CarPlay® for more than 400,000 existing vehicles
Porsche is the first manufacturer to incorporate car features into an app for Apple CarPlay®, resulting in a cutting-edge, customized driving experience. Configuring audio sound profiles, switching between radio stations, adjusting air conditioner settings, and managing ambient lighting are among the features. Porsche owners can now get real-time performance statistics via CarPlay with the Performance Dashboard, which is another new feature. This covers maximum speed, acceleration, efficiency, average speed, and the distance travelled while emitting no emissions.
Many vehicle functions can also be controlled using Siri voice control, which is directly engaged via the steering wheel button, when vehicle functions are combined with the CarPlay experience. Using the My Porsche app, the iPhone and the car may be connected quickly and easily. Porsche is now retrospectively enabling this functionality for over 400,000 current vehicles, at the request of several consumers. In technical terms, this requires that PCM 6.0 be activated.
More vehicles worldwide are now getting access to Apple Maps EV routing, which is now available for Taycan models in the US. In addition to considering the vehicle's level of charge, Maps EV routing in CarPlay also examines elevation variations and other variables along a route to suggest suitable charging locations and estimated charging times.
