Porsche India has launched a new showroom format for Indian market. Dubbed the ‘Porsche Studio’, it is the first of its kind in the country, and one of just 14 in the world. Located in Connaught Place, New Delhi, the Studio aims to enhance the experience of buying a Porsche by providing customers a more relaxed ambience, as well as digital tools to configure their vehicles.
The Porsche Studio concept aims to appeal to new-age customers and, to that end, the new outlet in Delhi closely follows the design template of other Studio outlets around the world. The showroom consists of a two car display area, followed by a customer lounge. Various elements of the brand’s products and services are showcased throughout. Exclusive Manufaktur – the company’s in-house customisation division – features prominently at the Studio, with a dedicated section showcasing bespoke offerings like unique alloy wheel designs, personalised vehicle keys, sporty exhaust-tips and various cabin trimmings.
Step into the customer lounge and you are greeted by warmer tones and furnishings that create a more inviting atmosphere, compared to a business-like environment of traditional Porsche Centres. This has been done to encourage visitors to spend more time at the Studio.
Another feature unique to the new showroom is a large touch display that people can use to configure their vehicles. Porsche lets buyers choose from a plethora of personalisation options, ranging from body colour, alloy wheels, suspension, brakes, upholstery and cabin trimmings, right down to the finer details like the colour of the seat belts and even the instrument dial – something made possible by the Exclusive Manufaktur programme.
The ‘Trimming Lab’, on the other hand, allows prospective owners to physically sample various exterior paint shades and cabin upholstery options on offer. People wanting to know more about the brand’s legacy can browse through the ‘Porsche Heritage’ wall that offers a quick look at the company’s origins, design philosophy and success at motorsports. And those looking for Porsche merchandise will find the ‘Driver’s Selection’ section of particular interest. Rounding off, customers can even arrange test drives and purchase vehicles right from the Studio.
