When it was first launched in 2019, the Porsche Taycan broke new ground for what all-electric sports cars could achieve. Now with an extensive update, the new model range has been improved in many aspects – boasting improved performance and range, attractive new design elements and an enhanced driver experience.
A growing list of standard equipment alongside the improved range of up to 35% and increase of up to 190 PS in power, the latest all-electric Porsche sports car has a packed bill of benefits, that is equipped with a four-year warranty and comprehensive four-year maintenance.
Taycan – from 0-100 km/h in 4.8s (less 0.6s compared to its predecessor), producing up to 408 PS* (+82 PS).
Taycan Turbo S – from 0-100 km/h in 2.4s (less 0.4s), producing up to 952 PS* (+190 PS)
*Overboost power with Launch Control
The WLTP range of the Taycan range is increased by up to 678 km (+175km / 35%), depending on variant. Improvements in the drivetrain efficiency and higher battery capacity are chiefly responsible for this range improvement, accompanied with optimisations in aerodynamics, rolling resistance and mass reduction.
The chassis in the new Taycan has been completely overhauled, compared to its predecessor. All new Taycan models feature the adaptive air suspension based on a 2-chamber air spring with 2-valve damper as standard, bringing the balance between comfort and performance to a whole new level.
Enhance the adaptive air suspension with the new optional Porsche Active Ride chassis to open up new dimensions of emotional driving and sporty travel. Not only does the new Taycan require fewer stops to charge, it recharges faster too with greater charging stability and higher charging capacities.
With an upgraded recuperation strategy, a more efficient drivetrain and a lower weight that can be further optimised aerodynamically with the optional 21-inch wheels and tyres offering, these improvements help influence the number of times that the Taycan needs to be charged.
