Held on the roads of the coastal town of Bangsaen, the track was a favourite on the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia calendar for both drivers and fans. Its bumpy surface, close-in walls, and fast corners posed a major challenge for those who took it on. With tickets to watch the action free for spectators, the event brought a festival-like atmosphere, drawing over 300,000 fans across the weekend.
For Sime Motors Racing, it was a standout weekend. Hugo Ellis clinched double P3 finishes, securing an overall third place in the Street Cup standings—a strong result for the team to continue to fight in one of the most competitive categories of the championship.
With just two rounds remaining, the pressure is on as the title battle heats up. The Street Cup will return for its season finale at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, where winners of the Pro-Am, Am, and Masters categories will receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes VIP experience at the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour.
Immediately after this weekend’s action, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Talent Pool Presented by Michelin members head to Phuket for three days of training to prepare the drivers for the remaining challenges of the 2025 season. The championship is back racing on 22-24 August making its debut at Mandalika where we’ll see the conclusion of the Endurance Cup.
