Who can join?
The event is exclusively for Sime Darby Auto Performance sports car customers ranging from new car, pre-owned car, service with inclusive of adoption package customer. Participants are welcome to bring along accompany guests to share the Porsche experience together.
What do I need to bring?
Driving equipment such as helmet and balaclavas is available for loan at the event. You just require to bring yourself with your Porsche to the racetrack on the event day.
Due to the high humidity climate in our country and high temperature on the racetrack, it may cause the brake fluid to degrade quickly, we advise all vehicles to have fresh brake fluid filled as it. We also recommend for your Porsche to conduct a pre-track inspection at the Porsche Centre at least one week prior to the event.
How do I register?
You can visit any Porsche Centre, or you can register online via the e-invitation link.
What Happens on the day?
Upon arrival, all vehicles will undergo a visual inspection by certified technicians to ensure it is fit for track driving by focusing on brakes, brake fluid levels and adjustment on the right tyre pressure. Each participating vehicle will be fitted with a transponder to record the lap time and numbering sticker for easy identification on the racetrack.
Before heading out to the racetrack, participants are given a safety briefing and a track orientation programme to familiarise themselves to identify the braking and apex points.
How do I improve my skills?
The Porsche Time Trial programme is available during the event to motivate drivers to improve their lap time. In motorsport, having the fastest lap time is important but consistency and precision in the overall driving is the key to all success. The Most Consistent Lap Time was also introduced as a new segment within the Porsche Time Trial program to reward the most consistent driver.
Certified and professional instructors available at the event to offer driving tips and techniques on the racetrack.
To sharpen your driving skills, the exclusive one-to-one coaching programme is available for participants to get up close and personal with professional race drivers for a more in-depth coaching. Racing equipment such as in-car camera, 2-way intercom with instructor and telemetry will be fitted into your vehicle with data analysis available as part of coaching tool to enhance your driving skills.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Safety is of paramount importance to all of us. If in the unlikely event of an accident occurs at the racetrack, usual track rules apply. Standard insurance will only cover accidents which happen outside the circuit. If an accident occurs at the racetrack, each participant is responsible for track damages and their own repairs.
