Very precise for a character so playful, sober and nevertheless aware of its potential, the structured lines and the expressive forms of the 718 models draw a low, wide and slender silhouette.
Sporty, to the end.
A design that marks the spirits: the silhouette is unique, with the flyline characteristic of a mid-engine model. The stern is generous with a trim strip. The interior equipment gives pride of place to sportiness.
The horizontality of the air inlets seems to further flare the front bumper, and gives more aggressiveness. On the GTS models, this impression of power is reinforced by the large air intakes, the side deflectors in Black and the front spoiler in Black. The wings look like a Porsche: prominent, they underline the new design of the headlights with their shape, very expressive with its integrated LED daytime running lights. On GTS models, the front headlights are tinted.

The profile of these models also reveals the basis of their concept: a central engine. Equipped with generous wheel arches that can accommodate rims up to 20 inches. On the 718 T models, these are in Titanium Gray (glossy finish) and on the 718 GTS 4.0 models, in Black (satin finish). The new 718 models are clearly designed for your driving pleasure. It makes sense, therefore, that the curved lines of the doors direct the air flow to large side air intakes. These make it easier for the new engines to get air, and therefore their fantastic thrust.
The rear of the 718 models is synonymous with high performance, especially that of our engineers. Without falling into conformism, it is more clear and concise. Tinted on the 718 GTS 4.0 models, its lights are flat, but come to life in 3D from the inside; the 4 stop light points frame the horizontal position lights. Between the two rear light blocks, a siding strip seems to extend the span of the stern. The fin above it deploys automatically from 125 km / h. It reduces lift and thereby further improves handling. To finish in style: the central exhaust outlet of the lower part of the rear bumper, replaced by a double tailpipe on the 718 T and 718 S models. The tailpipes of the 718 GTS 4.0 models are widely spaced in the lower part of the specific GTS 4.0 rear bumper.

The standard Sport button lets you choose between more comfort or more sportiness. At the touch of a button, the electronic management will sharpen the engine and activate the optional sports exhaust system. On models equipped with the PDK gearbox, the upshift will be engaged later while the downshift will be anticipated.
Sport Chrono package.
The Sport Chrono Pack is standard on the 718 T and 718 GTS 4.0 models and optional on the other 718 models. It offers even more incisive adjustment of the chassis, engine and gearbox. And immediately takes you to new levels of sportiness. It works in conjunction with the legacy 918 Spyder mode switch. Without taking your hands off the steering wheel, you can choose between 4 driving modes: Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and an Individual mode with which the vehicle adapts even more precisely to your driving style.
In sporty driving, it's the power that counts. That of the engine of course, but also that of the brakes. This is why the 718, 718 T and 718 S models are equipped with 4-piston aluminum monobloc fixed brake calipers. The brake calipers on the 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman and 718 T models are black, while the S models feature Red calipers. The brake discs are 330mm in diameter at the front and 299mm at the rear. The braking system of the 718 S models is reinforced on the front axle. We have resized the brakes on the 718 GTS 4.0 models to match the engine power.
They are fitted with 6-piston aluminum monobloc fixed caliper brakes at the front. The brake discs are 350mm in diameter at the front and 330mm at the rear. In order to reinforce their high resistance to deformation, to reduce their weight and to improve the characteristics of the pressure points, even under extreme loads, the monoblock brake calipers are of closed design. The pedal stroke is short, the pressure point precise. The brake discs are also perforated and self-ventilated to ensure better behavior on wet roads and to optimize their cooling.
