26-year-old Naquib Azlan began his motorsport journey in 2020 through competitive sim racing, where he developed his skills and technical understanding before progressing to on-track competition.
After being crowned champion of the Driven Dreamers category at the inaugural Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia in 2025, Naquib was selected for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Talent Pool programme. The initiative identifies and supports promising drivers through professional coaching, training camps and structured performance development — reflecting Porsche’s long-standing commitment to cultivating talent within the region.
What began in the virtual arena for Naquib has since evolved into a full-season campaign in Porsche’s premier one-make championship, the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. In his debut at the Official Test Day at Zhuhai International Circuit from 28 February to 1 March, Naquib recorded the overall fastest lap time of the weekend with a 1:35.391 lap time.
With a full-season campaign ahead, Naquib’s participation represents more than a personal milestone. It signals Porsche Malaysia’s long-term commitment to building a sustainable motorsport pathway — one where Malaysian talent can progress with purpose and compete at the highest regional level.
