A story that has rhythm
Michel's father owned a gas station located in the beautiful Beauce region. He obviously offered the service of filling gasoline, but also specialized in the sale of used cars, thus inciting him to ask sometimes the help of Michel in the family business. It was by assigning him various tasks such as washing cars, refurbishments as well as pump attendant that Michel's father instilled in him, at a very young age, the value of work. Although rather modest, Michel took great pride in helping his father, however, the height of happiness was undoubtedly when he came to move a Porsche into the parking lot unaided.
"You should have seen my smile when, off my few apples, I held the wheel firmly, ready to race against anyone," he said.
Her mother owned a song box where singers of different musical styles performed on weekend evenings. Then, fashion requires, the song box gradually adapted to the evolution of music, offering various groups that took up the "hits" of the moment. What made Michel to like artists such as: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, and eventually will make him play as well. With his eyes riveted on the drummer, Michel hoped one day to be able to hit the boxes while keeping pace. His attraction to the "Drums" was so strong that when the bands had left, he stealthily walked over to the acoustic instrument to make the boxes vibrate in turn.
In December 2005, after completing a 32-year career with the government of Quebec, retirement struck. Throughout his career, Michel had maintained an unconditional love for the automotive world, more specifically for Porsches. Seeking a second career, he went to the Porsche dealership in Quebec, formerly known as Qué-Bourg Autos, to apply. This dealership, formerly located in Charlesbourg, brought together the three brands owned by the German giant Volkswagen Group, namely: Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche. Needless to say, with his history and motivation, Michel was immediately hired as a sales representative.
After supporting Michel throughout his career, his wife was looking for the perfect gift to mark his retirement. It was obvious that a set of batteries would rekindle a childhood dream. His passion and his determination to multiply the hours of practice on his new toy, will have allowed him to be part of three music groups. You will be able to hear the performances of Michel within his group of Blues, or that of "Hommage aux Beatles". Michel is also the drummer for a Quebec music group.
